Po leżakowaniu wciąż jest owocowo, ale bliżej beczkowego archetypu – tak trochę, jakby się jadło pączka z waniliowym nadzieniem, albo pralinę czekoladową z wisienką na górze, NARAZ, zagryzając to miseczką rodzynek namoczonych w rumie.
We received a barrel from the brewery that had originally aged bourbon, and then an imperial stout — a classic, we thought — just perfect for the red fruits from Kenya!
After aging, it’s still fruity, but closer to the barrel archetype — kind of like eating a donut with vanilla filling, or a chocolate praline with a cherry on top with a bowl of rum-soaked raisins at the same time.
